Elegant. Classic. Timeless.
From the very first time I worked with walnut, it instantly became my favorite wood.
In 2015, I was part of a team renovating an office for Pastor Brian Brodersen at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. We sourced hundreds of boards of rough-sawn American black walnut and transformed them into a beautiful hardwood floor. From there, we built large sliding doors that served as office separators between his office and his wife’s, along with several custom credenzas for storage. Everything was handcrafted. Everything was organic, solid, and intentional.
A few years later, while designing the Waterloo Collection, I knew walnut had to be the species we used. Its rich color and natural texture are what people instinctively gravitate toward in fine furniture. It felt like the perfect match.
Opening the lid creates the perfect place to craft your cocktail.
That same conviction carried into the Admiral Bar. Elegant. Classic. Timeless. Walnut already spoke the language I wanted the piece to radiate—warmth, longevity, and quiet confidence.
This Christmas season has me reflecting on that inspiration and celebrating the moment when material meets design and function. So raise a glass—to the past year, and to all the craftsmanship still to come in 2026.
